Hi, I am Richard Angell

a photographer based in the Reading area, and I work across a wide range of photography — from events, weddings and portraits to headshots, corporate work and community projects. I don’t really have one particular style that I try to impose on everything I photograph. I prefer to work with the people and the situation in front of me, keeping things relaxed and looking for photographs that feel natural and genuine.

A lot of my photography is about people. I enjoy meeting them, getting to know them and having a chat along the way. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, a business, a sporting event or something happening in the community, I try not to overcomplicate things. I’ll be there, I’ll pay attention to what’s happening and I’ll look for those moments that are worth capturing.

Photography has also given me the opportunity to get involved with some fantastic organisations in the local community, which has been hugely rewarding. I think that’s one of the things I enjoy most about being a photographer — you never quite know where it will take you or who you’ll meet along the way.
